About the event

Alternating both hot and cold therapies brings the body out of the sympathetic nervous system or what we know as fight or flight and into the parasympathetic or what we know as the rest and digest function of the nervous system. It is called contrast therapy, and Ignite Sadhana the Wim hof facilitators and Artemis Table a Thai Elements bodyworker and breathwork facilitator are coming to Haduko to bring contrast therapy, body, breathwork and somatic release to reset our mind, body, and soul.

We begin with a talk on doshas as well as an individual assessment, what is your natural constitution and how is it imbalanced, or how does it tend towards imbalance under stress.

We will introduce a full body balancing breathwork guided for 20 minutes, calming the nervous system to attune to how we are really feeling. Following will be a guided meditation. Some of you will choose to find integration in watercolor painitng after this, we will provide papers, watercolor and brushes. After, Pete and Jason takeover and the ice therapy begins, wimhof breathwork and baths. We’ll finish with thai bodywork individual for each person based on your dosha imbalance reading.

Over time, we as humans have developed a different attitude towards nature and we’ve forgotten about our inner power and our connection as humans with nature. This is the ability of our body to adapt to extreme temperature and survive within our natural environment. The Wim Hof Method is based on this principle.

Because we wear clothes and artificially control the temperatures at home and at work, we’ve greatly reduced the natural stimulation of our bodies, atrophying the age-old mechanisms related to our survival and basic function. Because these deeper physiological layers are no longer triggered, our bodies are no longer in touch with this inner power. The inner power is a powerful force that can be reawakened by stimulating these physiological processes through the Wim Hof Method.

The Wim Hof Method consists of 3 pillars: breathwork, cold exposure and mindset. The combination of the 3 has been scientifically proven to reduce inflammation, relieve anxiety, depression and other mental disorders, increase vitality, strengthen the immune system and fight autoimmune disorders (among other benefits).
