About the event
I needed to work through things, to sort them out and Covid came and gave this unadulterated opportunity to do just that.
It poured forth, a catharsis, an analysis, a particular lens to my life and it was that of the victim.
I reread what I had written and felt a sucker punch in my stomach, an ache with no resolution.
It served one purpose, a purging of sorts, but to work with the events of my life in a way that they would become my teachers this became more interesting to me. As I wrote again it seemed it would be of service to offer this lens to more women, it became something that felt universal. That if I could move out of victimhood and still love again, then so could others. And this woman I was proud of, this woman I could stand for.
But how I changed…
